I’m the eye and heart behind Portfolio by Ava. Originally from Wellington, I now call Mount Maunganui home — a move inspired by my love of the coast. The ocean is where I feel happiest and most grounded, and that sense of calm and connection is woven through every part of my work.

I specialise in portrait photography, capturing genuine, timeless images full of life. I absolutely love working with families and little ones, and my favourite part of what I do is meeting people, connecting with them, and telling their stories through my lens. From intimate weddings and engagements to newborn sessions and family portraits, my work is all about creating natural, heartfelt images that make you melt when you see the final gallery.
